Dev-Ops Engineer (AWS)

POSITION: Temporary position

Role Overview

You will design, implement and drive adoption of Continuous Delivery CI/CD and DevOps utilising industry best practice frameworks, tools and process. You will mainly work with our internal team. The role focuses on CI/CD with a DevOps approach and manage all of our clients and our platform on AWS. You will have the experience and be confident in advising and consulting as required and know the tools to work independently.

Your primary role is to work with our team of developers and take charge with a migration work of our new platform to a multi-tenant environment. It is expected that you are a gun and know all the tricks and DevOps principles including setting up on AWS CI/CD, Code build/deploy and see our platform go live in this new environment.

Detail responsibilities / duties

  • Migration from existing environment to new multi-tenant structure
  • Full end to end AWS set up with CI/CD principles
  • Ensure performance stability of services as well as attending to fixes in this new environment
  • Set up monitoring alerts, investigate issues that arises out from the migration work and fix by applying remediation measures
  • You will be mainly working on AWS environments, help with reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues and help set up development and production environments
  • Enhance availability, performance and stability of services as well as automating away repetitive work.
  • Respond to alerts and investigate issues in our services and take remediation measures.
  • You will be mainly working on all AWS environments, monitoring, data collection and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a live production environment
  • Scripting and software development across one or more programming languages – automate away the repetitive tasks.

AngularJS front-end developer

POSITION: Full Time Perm

Role Overview

The Developer who is responsible for front-end programming with Angular JS / Angular 2. Primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing. Will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. Will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Detail responsibilities / duties

  • Developing new user-facing features using Angular JS / Angular 2.
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
  • Optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Ensures that all the assigned deliverables are completed on time and with impeccable quality
  • Provides guidance and support to other team members in accomplishing tasks
  • Provides timely support in troubleshooting defects and providing resolutions. Supports production deployment and project go-live tasks

Requirements

  • Experience developing rich UI/Front-end for user-facing web applications.
  • Strong experience with AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML DOM, HTML5, CSS3, single page web application and client side MVC architecture.
  • Experience with data-driven web development, including strong knowledge of JSON and AJAX.
  • Experience developing UI using Angular 2+ strongly preferred.
  • Extensive use of APIs and strong understanding of HTTP and REST architecture.

Senior iOS Developer

POSITION: Contract

We are seeking a “Senior iOS Developer” to join our Sydney tech team.

We are looking for a team player to join our Sydney CBD team who is not only quick to grasp and deliver but also understands the iOS framework fully and has a proven track record of delivering enterprise mobile apps with great focus on UX.

Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of a quality product is essential. You may be required to work closely with the client and co-locate at their office in West Pennant Hills.

Your role includes:

  • Designing and building applications for the iOS platform.
  • Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborating with the team to define, design and build new features.
  • Performing unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability.
  • Working on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Helping to maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.

What will make you best suited:

  • 3+ years of iOS Development Experience
  • Proficient with Swift and Objective-C (depending on project requirements), and Cocoa Touch

WordPress Developer

POSITION: Contract

We are seeking a “WordPress Developer” to join our Sydney tech team. 

You will Design & Develop a new WordPress product site integrating into Braintree. You will mainly work with our internal team. The role requires someone who is able to quickly adapt with the existing team and also have their own creative hat and making it their own using a Product Delivery Approach. We have a new strategic initiative underway and urgently require a creative WordPress developer with a particular focus on PHP and JavaScript development.

What will make you best suited:

  • Demonstrated experience writing and customising plugins.
  • Customising WordPress themes.
  • You will be responsible for selecting and reviewing available plugins or writing new plugins as needed to meet project and functional requirements.
  • Experience and exposure to customising themes and also integration with Braintree.
  • You will have demonstrated experience connecting WordPress to 3rd party REST APIs via plugins, including replacing WordPress authentication and accounts with OAuth2 SSO.
  • You will be comfortable doing advanced frontend (particularly for WordPress admin) and happy working with other specialised Front End Devs (for public facing parts of the WordPress site).
  • You will be experienced in working as part of a team, including using source control, project management tools and collaboration/chat.
