A lot of excitement builds up before the Apple annual worldwide developer conference event, WWDC 2018.

 

Here are our top 10 key updates from the Apple WWDC18 announcements so you don’t have to set your alarm for 3 am:

Siri: Got smarter, shortcuts now works with third-party apps. 

Memoji for iPhone X: A customisable character made to look like you and yes with tongue recognition!

FaceTime Group Chat: Group Chat now on FaceTime with up to 32 people

Screen-life balance: Set time limits for certain apps, review usage. 

ARKit 2 (AR): Adds Face-tracking tech and 3-D object detection

Measure (AR): New Native AR to accurately measure real-world objects

Photos: Photos are now smarter with more predictive folders, tagging and sharing capabilities 

iBooks: Becomes Apple Books. Apple News gets a refresh.

Privacy: User permissions. iOS Apps will seek user permissions explicitly to use location data, messages, camera, microphone etc.

iOS12 updated: Update to iOS12, TVOS, WatchOS, MacOS all updated, Apple TV gets Dolby ATMOS.
